Bhavan s shock ADIS to record maiden win in ADSL

Bhavan s celebrated a maiden tournament triumph since their entry in the UAE Xchange U12 Abu Dhabi School League last season.
They stunned Abu Dhabi Indian School by 30 runs in the opening round of the competition.Electing to bat first, Bhavan s posted 154 for eight, aided by 67 extras and a couple of good knocks from opener Surya Kiran (37) and Utkarsh Umesh (26) at the ADCC Nursey Oval-1. ADIS in reply were bowled out for 124.
Vishnu Menon played a captain s knock to lead The Cambridge High School to a nine-run thriller over Bright Riders at the adjoining Oval-2.
Opening the inning, he stroked a 43-ball 52 for his team to put up a challenging 146 for seven, and then took two key wickets to restrict Bright Riders to 139 for five.
Charlie Davey took five wickets but his efforts went in vain as Al Yasmina went down to newcomers Gems Cambridge International by 125 runs. Jonathan Jacob struck a half century while opener Yasith Herath took 44 in Gems total of 186. Yasmina were skittled out for 61 in response. Asad Ullah and Saad Ahmad smashed breezy half centuries and put on a century stand for the first wicket to power Emirates Future International to a 32-run win over Model.
Asad smashed a 42-ball knock 72, highlighted by 13 fours and a six, and Saad s 37-ball inning contained nine fours and a six.
